Non magnetic rod material refers to non-magnetic bar materials that have not undergone further processing on the surface, and have retained their original forging or hot rolling state. It has important applications in the field of petroleum machinery.
1. P530 non-magnetic stainless steel: It is a high manganese chromium nitrogen (Mn-Cr-N) non-magnetic steel with a carbon content of ≤ 0.05%, manganese content of 18.5-20.0%, and chromium content of 13.0-14.0%. Its relative magnetic permeability μr<1.005, with high strength, good toughness, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
2. P550 non-magnetic steel: It belongs to the high manganese, high chromium, and high nitrogen nickel non-magnetic steel series, containing 20.5% -21.6% manganese, ≥ 1.4% nickel, 18.3% -20.0% chromium and other elements. It has the characteristics of stable structure, excellent mechanical properties, and low magnetic permeability.
3. P650 non-magnetic steel: It is a high MnALV non-magnetic steel with a chemical composition similar to P550. The carbon content is ≤ 0.06%, and the manganese, nickel, and chromium contents are 20.5% -21.6%, ≥ 1.4%, and 18.3% -20.0%, respectively. It has low magnetic permeability and high electrical resistivity, with minimal eddy current losses in a magnetic field.

Due to the cold work hardening phenomenon of high manganese steel, cutting non-magnetic bar materials is relatively difficult. It is usually necessary to use high-temperature annealing process to change the particle size, shape and distribution of carbides, in order to improve their cutting performance and facilitate subsequent processing into various petroleum machinery parts.
