Structure and working principle of LZ172 Down-hole Motor

1. Structural composition: It is mainly composed of bypass valve, motor, universal shaft and transmission shaft. The bypass valve allows drilling fluid to pass during the drilling process to avoid excessive pressure in the drill bit; the motor is the core component of the Down-hole Motor, which is composed of a stator and a rotor. The rubber lining of the stator and the rotor form a spiral sealed chamber; the universal shaft transmits the torque and rotational motion of the motor to the transmission shaft; the transmission shaft transmits the power to the drill bit, driving the drill bit to rotate and break the rock.

2. Working principle: With mud as the power, when high-pressure mud is pumped into the screw drill bit from the drill pipe, a pressure difference is formed between the stator and the rotor of the motor, which drives the rotor to rotate, and then drives the drill bit to rotate through the universal shaft and the transmission shaft to realize the drilling operation.
