Introduction of Guide Plate

1. Functions: The guide plate is mainly used to guide the movement of the crosshead, provide sliding tracks for the crosshead, ensure the smoothness and accuracy of the crosshead's reciprocating linear motion, and enable it to move along the correct trajectory, thereby ensuring the normal operation of the mud pump.

2. Structural characteristics: The guide plate is generally a plate-shaped structure, usually divided into upper and lower guide plates, which are installed on the upper and lower sides of the crosshead respectively. Its surface needs to have high flatness and smoothness to reduce friction with the crosshead.

3. Material selection: Common materials include gray cast iron, such as HT250, which is made through specific processes and has mechanical properties of σ ≥ 250MPa. Some guide plates are also made of ductile iron or ASTM A48-83 cast iron to improve wear resistance and strength.

4. Processing technology: After rough machining, the guide plate blank is usually subjected to two treatments to eliminate internal stress and ensure machining accuracy.
