Advantages of Clamp Coupling

JQ/JQW type clamp coupling is composed of two shells split along the axial direction, mainly including single groove and double groove, with keyway and without keyway, single groove with single hole diameter and double hole diameter, providing high torque grip without damaging the shaft face. The double-groove rigid coupling is convenient for disassembly and maintenance without moving other parts. The screws of the double-groove rigid coupling are reversible, which can maintain dynamic balance. The raw materials include aluminum, carbon steel and stainless steel, with various models and specifications, and double-bore couplings with one metric end and the other imperial end can also be customized according to the special requirements of customers.

Disadvantages of Clamp Coupling

The disadvantages of the JQ/JQW type clamp coupling are the low centering accuracy of the two shafts, the complex structure and shape, and the low manufacturing and balancing accuracy. They are only suitable for low-speed and stable load occasions. The speed is not greater than 5m/s. When the line speed exceeds 5m/s, a balance check is required. The shaft does not need to move axially when the clamp coupling is assembled and disassembled, so it is very convenient to assemble and disassemble. In order to balance the situation, the bolts should be installed forward and backward. Clamp couplings do not have axial, radial and angular compensation performance.
