Introduction of Cylinder Liner Flange

1. Structural Design: Traditional cylinder liner flanges feature a surface contact between the inner bore and the outer circle of the liner, resulting in a large mating area. The new cylinder liner flange design has been improved by incorporating an interference fit between the outer circle of the flange and the positioning hole of the frame, with an interference fit length of 38-42mm to enhance positioning accuracy and rigidity. Additionally, the contact between the inner bore of the flange and the outer circle of the liner has been changed from surface contact to point contact, achieved by installing steel balls around the inner circumference of the flange bore. These steel balls create point contact with the outer circle of the liner, reducing disassembly resistance.

2. Material Selection: Cylinder liner flanges are typically forged from high-quality alloy steel such as 35CrMo. This material, after heat treatment, exhibits high strength, excellent wear resistance, and toughness, enabling it to withstand the high pressure and impact generated during mud pump operation.

3. Installation and Maintenance: During installation, the cylinder liner flange is connected to the pump head or other components via bolts. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, free of burrs and foreign matter, and position the "leakage hole" downward to guarantee sealing performance. In routine maintenance, regularly inspect the wear and corrosion of the cylinder liner flange as well as the tightness of the connecting bolts. If severe wear, cracks, or corrosion are found, replace them promptly to ensure the normal operation of the mud pump.
