Structural composition of LZ95 Down-hole Motor

Bypass valve: It is composed of valve body, valve sleeve, valve core and spring. During the operation of drilling, the bypass valve is in bypass state, so that the mud in the drill string bypasses the motor and enters the annulus; when the mud flow and pressure reach the standard setting value, the valve core moves down and closes the bypass valve hole. At this time, the mud flows through the motor and converts the pressure energy into mechanical energy.

Motor assembly: It is the core component of the drilling tool and consists of a stator and a rotor. The stator is formed by injecting a rubber bushing on the inner wall of the steel pipe, and its inner hole is a spiral with certain geometric parameters; the rotor is a screw with a hard layer. The rotor and the stator mesh with each other, and the lead difference between the two is used to form a spiral sealing cavity to complete the energy conversion.

Universal shaft assembly: It mostly adopts the flexure shaft type, and its function is to convert the planetary motion of the motor into the fixed axis rotation of the transmission shaft, and transmit the torque and speed generated by the motor to the transmission shaft until the drill bit.

Drive shaft assembly: Its function is to transmit the motor's rotational power to the drill bit, while bearing the axial and radial loads generated by the drilling pressure.

Working principle of LZ95 Down-hole Motor

The drilling fluid pumped out by the mud pump flows through the bypass valve into the screw motor, forming a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the motor, pushing the rotor to rotate around the stator axis, and then transmitting the speed and torque to the drill bit through the universal shaft and the drive shaft to achieve drilling operations.

Speed and torque output: According to different motor head numbers and structural designs, different ranges of speed and torque output can be provided to meet the needs of different formations and drilling processes. Usually with medium to high speeds and relatively large torque, it can effectively drive the drill bit to break rocks.

Deflection ability: It has good deflection ability and can be used for drilling special well types such as directional wells and horizontal wells, and can accurately control the wellbore trajectory.

Reliability and durability: Under normal use and maintenance conditions, it has high reliability and long service life. At the same time, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials are used to adapt to different drilling fluid environments and formation conditions.
