The WGP type drum gear coupling includes left and right sleeves for connecting the power input shaft and the power output shaft respectively. There are drum-shaped teeth at the end of the left shaft sleeve, and the coupling sleeve sleeved on the periphery of the left shaft sleeve meshes with the drum-shaped teeth on the left shaft sleeve through its internal teeth. The end of the right shaft sleeve is provided with a connecting flange, and the connecting flange and the connecting sleeve are connected and fixed by passing through bolts. And a brake disc is clamped between the connecting flange and the coupling sleeve.
The WGP drum gear coupling is composed of an inner ring gear with the same number of teeth and a flange half coupling with outer teeth. External teeth are divided into two tooth shapes: straight teeth and drum-shaped teeth. The so-called drum-shaped teeth are made of spherical surfaces. The center of the spherical surface is on the gear axis. The tooth side clearance is larger than that of ordinary gears. Larger angular displacement is allowed (compared to spur couplings), the contact condition of the teeth can be improved, the ability to transmit torque can be improved, and the service life can be extended.
The WGP drum gear coupling has a simple structure and is easy to install. The brake disc is rigidly connected to the right bushing. The braking load and vibration during the braking process are borne by the right bushing, so it will not affect the meshing performance of the drum gears. Damage is caused, and the stability of the brake disc itself is also improved.
(compared with straight gear coupling, it has the following characteristics):
1. Bearing. Under the same outer diameter of the inner gear sleeve and the outer diameter of the coupling, the bearing capacity of the WGP drum gear coupling is 15-20% higher than that of the straight gear coupling on average.
2. Transmission reaches 99.7%. Based on the above characteristics, drum-shaped teeth have generally replaced straight-toothed couplings. The WGP drum gear coupling produced by UMA has various specifications and complies with the corresponding standards. WGP drum gear coupling has high rigidity, flexibility, and no elasticity, so it is not suitable for machinery that requires strict vibration reduction, buffering, and two-axis alignment.
3. The tooth end of the outer gear sleeve is in the shape of a trumpet, which makes it easy to assemble and disassemble the inner and outer teeth.
4. Large amount of angular displacement compensation. When the radial displacement is equal to zero, the allowable angular displacement of the straight gear coupling is 1º, while the allowable angular displacement of the WGP drum gear coupling is 1º 30'', increase of 50%, at the same under of the modulus, number of teeth, and tooth width, the allowable angular displacement of drum-shaped teeth is larger than that of straight teeth.
5. The drum-shaped tooth surface makes the contact conditions of the inner and outer teeth avoid the disadvantages of straight tooth edge extrusion and stress concentration under the condition of angular displacement, and at the same time reduce the friction and wear of the tooth surface, reduced noise too.
