Bypass valve: composed of valve body, valve sleeve, valve core, spring and other components. During drilling operations, the bypass valve is in a bypass state, allowing the mud in the drill string to bypass the motor and enter the annulus; When the mud flow rate and pressure reach the standard set values, the valve core moves downward, the bypass valve hole is closed, and the mud flows through the motor.

Screw motor: It is the core component of drilling tools, consisting of stator and rotor. The stator is made by injecting rubber lining on the inner wall of the steel pipe, and its inner hole is a spiral with certain geometric parameters; The rotor is a hard layered screw that meshes with the stator, forming a spiral sealed cavity using the lead difference between the two to complete energy conversion.

Universal shaft: Its function is to convert the planetary motion of the motor into fixed axis rotation of the transmission shaft, and transmit the torque and speed generated by the motor to the transmission shaft and drill bit.

Drive shaft: transmits the rotational power of the motor to the drill bit, while bearing the axial and radial loads generated by the drilling pressure.

Working principle: Powered by drilling fluid, the mud pumped out by the mud pump flows through a bypass valve and enters the motor. A certain pressure difference is formed at the inlet and outlet of the motor, which drives the rotor to rotate around the axis of the stator and transmits the speed and torque to the drill bit through the universal joint and transmission shaft, thereby achieving drilling operations.
