Introduction of Cylinder Head

1. Functions.

The cylinder head is mainly used to fix the inlet valve assembly or the drain valve assembly. It provides installation positions for valve components and ensures the sealing of the hydraulic end through its connection with the pump head body, enabling the mud pump to perform normal suction and discharge of mud.

2. Materials.

The cylinder head of the mud pump is generally made of high-quality alloy steel such as 35CrMo. This material has undergone strict forging and heat treatment processes, possessing high strength, wear resistance, and good toughness, capable of withstanding high pressure and impact during the operation of mud pumps.

3. Model adaptation.

There are multiple models of cylinder heads to accommodate different types of mud pumps, but they generally comply with API standards. Common series mud pumps such as F-500, F-1300, F-1600, etc. have corresponding cylinder head models.

4. Maintenance and upkeep.

During the operation of the mud pump, the cylinder head needs to be regularly inspected and maintained. Check whether the cylinder head has cracks, wear, corrosion, etc., especially whether the sealing surface is intact. If it is damaged, it should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation and sealing performance of the mud pump.
