Explanation of the Role of Each Component of the Rod Pumping Unit

Rod pumping unit is a kind of machinery and equipment used to extract petroleum, commonly known as "kowtow machine". As the main lifting equipment in rod pumping system. Rod pumping units can be divided into beam rod pumping units and beamless rod pumping units according to whether there are beams.

The role of each component of the rod pumping unit:

1) Base: The base is the foundation that bears all the weight of the rod pumping unit;

2) Reducer barrel seat: its function is to fix the reducer, bear the weight of the reducer and raise the reducer so that the crank can rotate;

3) Motor base: Its function is to carry the weight of the motor. It can maintain the "four points and one line" between the motor wheel and the reducer wheel by adjusting the front, rear, left and right positions of the motor;

4) Motor: The motor is the source of power. There are two top wires on the front and back diagonals to adjust the tightness of the belt;

5) Braking device: When the brake pads contact with the brake wheel, friction occurs to brake;

6) Gearbox: It is a deceleration device that turns the speed of a high-speed motor into a low-speed motion;

7) Large pulley: the motor transmits the rotating power to the belt, and then from the belt to the large pulley, the large pulley drives the input shaft, which is the bridge for the reducer to perform work;

8) Crank: The holes with large and small strokes on the crank are called stroke holes, which are specially used for adjusting the stroke;

9) Counterweight (balance) block: It is fixed on the crank by screws. When the donkey's head goes down, it stores energy, and when it goes up, it releases energy. It can generate inertia, play the role of load balance in the up and down movement of the donkey's head, and can be adjusted forward and backward on the crank to achieve the balance of the rod pumping unit;

10) Connecting rod: its function is the connecting rod between the crank and the tail beam;

11) Walking beam: The walking beam is mounted on the support bearing and moves up and down around the support bearing. The tail end and the tail beam are connected by a tail shaft, and the front part is welded with a donkey head seat to bear the weight of the donkey head. The walking beam can be moved back and forth to adjust so that the head of the donkey is always aligned with the well head;

12) Tail bearing: It plays the role of connecting the tail beam and the walking beam, reducing friction and making the walking beam move up and down more easily;

13) Donkey head: The donkey head bears the weight of the sucker rod, the friction resistance of the pump and the liquid column in the well, ensuring that the pumping time rod is always aligned with the center of the wellhead;

14) Bracket: The bracket supports the total weight of the walking beam and the weight it bears, and is a reliable support for the walking beam;

15) Working Ladder and Retaining Ring: Working Ladder is a convenient escalator for installing walking beams, dealing with donkey head deflection, filling the center shaft with butter, usual inspections, and upstream and downstream beams. The guard ring is also called the safety ring, which plays a role of safety protection when we work at heights;

16) Central bearing seat: It is the accessory connecting the bracket and the walking beam, which bears all the weight borne by the walking beam, and it swings up and down on a certain track;

17) Rope suspension device: also called rope braid, it is used for suspending the sucker rod, in order to make the polished rod in the center of the fixed oil well during the pumping process.
