The Benefits of Choosing the Flat Gate Valve and Maintenances

Ⅰ. Advantages of the flat gate valve

Just like a wedge gate valve, the main function of the flat gate valve is to control the pipe's switching, not to regulate medium flow in the pipe. The flat gate valve has low fluid resistance, easy to start and stop, short structure length, the free flow direction of pipe medium, and so on.

1. Valve seat of flat gate valve uses 0-type sealing ring with pretension force and floating seat ring structure in order to have inlet and outlet two-way sealed. Besides, its on-off torque applies that of the ordinary valve, which can easily start and stop the valve.

2. Valve seat of flat gate valve uses stainless steel inset or overlaid onto the sealing surface, with the double seal of metal and metal-to-metal, while sealing surface can remove dirt on the gate.

Ⅱ. Daily maintenance methods of the flat gate valve

1. Flat gate valve shall prevent sediment from entering into running parts.

2. If the medium in pipes includes lots of impurities, the impurity shall be cleared regularly by drain plug or small release valve of flat gate valve. When the valve, without drain valve, discharges waste, please stop transmitting medium. Before discharging, separate slowly the drain plug and discharge residual gas in the valve chamber.

3. Flat gate valve shall be stored in the dry room, not outdoors, to avoid damage or corrosion.

4. When the valve plate is not used frequently (less than 10 times every month), sealing grease shall be filled once every two months, and the flat gate valve shall be started and stopped once at least.

5. Each season, lube shall be added to the valve rod sleeve, window, packing gland, and valve plate nozzle, in order to prevent parts from corrosion.

6. After washing the flat gate valve, spray rust preventing oil on the rotation part. Add paint timely to avoid erosion.

A flat gate valve uses a floating valve seat, with a two-way switch, reliable sealing, and flexible switching. Its valve plate is equipped with a guide bar that orientates accurately, the sealing surface is sprayed, and soldering is firm, gold, and anti-corrosion. The flat gate valve plate has a high bearing capacity and straight channel.
