The oil casing must undergo full coverage automatic wall thickness detection.
Currently, there is a wall thickness indirect measurement method based on the leakage magnetic principle. It is not a direct method of measuring wall thickness, but a method of indirectly measuring wall thickness by measuring magnetic field changes caused by changes in wall thickness.
Therefore, the magnetic field intensity has a great influence on the accuracy and resolution of wall thickness detection and is not suitable for online automatic detection. Magnetic ultrasound does not require a coupling agent, but it is difficult to excite ultrasound waves in uneven surfaced pipelines. Industrial ultrasound phased array probes have high manufacturing costs and complex systems. Currently, this equipment is rare in China.
Based on the principle of ultrasonic measurement of oil casing wall thickness, oil casing manufacturers have analyzed the focusing probes suitable for automatic detection of oil casings, and selected probes with appropriate focus and chip size to form a full coverage automatic wall thickness detection system, which has made significant improvements in full coverage range.
The design and selection of probes are crucial to the thickness of the oil casing. Generally, the sound beam emitted by a circular crystal chip of a probe has a certain diameter and expands with distance. The sound beam is selected to be locally focused through an acoustic lens to enhance energy.
After the inspection of the oil casing pipe is completed, the thickness detector required for full coverage and the ultrasonic thickness detection system are generally installed after testing equipment such as a leakage detection system. Under the conditions of the parameters, adjust the angle of the probe, determine the rotating speed of the motor, and the scanning speed of the oil casing.
