Choke valve manufacturers explains that choke valve is a kind of valve which can control the fluid flow by changing the throttle section or throttle length. If the choke valve and the non-return valve are connected in parallel, they can be combined into a one-way chock valve. The chock valve and one-way chock valve are simple valves to control the flow. In the hydraulic system of metering pump, the chock valve and the overflow valve can constitute three kinds of throttle velocity modulating systems, i.e. oil inlet throttle velocity modulating system, oil outlet throttle velocity modulating system and bypass throttle velocity modulating system. According to the choke valve manufacturers, the chock valve doesn't have the flow negative feedback function and can not compensate for the speed instability caused by load change, so it is generally only used in the situations where the load change is small or the requirement of speed stability is not high.

1. Closure and speed adjustment
The main function of chock valves is to change the flow by controlling the throttle section or throttle length.
2. Load resistance
Chock valves can play the role of load resistance to a certain extent, which is only a part of the choke valve function, and the main role of chock valves is still the throttle governing.
3. Pressure buffering
Chock valves can buffer the fluid pressure. When the fluid flows through the chock valve, the chock valve can block the flow of the fluid to a certain extent, so as to reduce the impact force.
